Naturopathic services in Toronto, Vaughan & across Ontario

Every patient gets a personalized plan, but the tools I use are consistent. Below are the core modalities I draw on at every visit. Visits are available in person at Insight Naturopathic Clinic in Leaside, Toronto, or virtually anywhere in Ontario in English or Spanish.

Acupuncture with Naturopathic Doctor in Toronto and Vaughan

Acupuncture

Acupuncture is offered for in-person patients at Insight Naturopathic Clinic. It can be useful for chronic pain, stress, sleep, fertility support, and digestive concerns, often in combination with other modalities.

(Note: acupuncture is not part of virtual visits.)

Functional Lab Testing with Naturopathic Doctor in Toronto and Vaughan

Functional Lab Testing

Functional lab testing is how I find what's actually driving how you feel. Common panels I order include comprehensive blood work, hormone testing (including DUTCH), thyroid panels (TSH, fT3, fT4, TPO and Tg antibodies), GI/stool testing (e.g., GI-MAP), Organic Acid Tests, and micronutrient panels. I'll always explain what each test is checking, what it costs, and what the results mean for your protocol.

Common reasons patients add functional lab testing: stalled hormonal symptoms despite "normal" labs, gut issues without a clear cause, recurrent infections, fatigue, fertility prep, and pediatric concerns where standard testing has been inconclusive.

Nutritional Counselling with Naturopathic Doctor in Toronto and Vaughan

Clinical nutrition

Nutrition is the foundation of every protocol. After looking at your history and labs, I build a personalized plan around whole foods, therapeutic diets where appropriate (e.g., Paleo, low-FODMAP for SIBO, anti-inflammatory for autoimmunity), and strategic supplementation. The goal is always sustainable, real-life change not a restrictive plan you can't keep up with.

Herbal Medicine with Naturopathic Doctor in Toronto and Vaughan

Herbal Medicine

Herbal medicine draws on both traditional use and modern research. Botanical formulas are selected for specific concerns adaptogens for stress and burnout, gut-supportive herbs for IBS and SIBO, hormonal-balancing herbs for perimenopause and PCOS. Formulas may be teas, tinctures, capsules, or topical applications.

Lifestyle Optimization with Naturopathic Doctor in Toronto and Vaughan

Targeted nutritional supplementation

Supplements are tools, not magic. I use professional-grade, third-party-tested products and prescribe them based on what your history, symptoms, and labs tell us you actually need. I'll also tell you when something is not needed you should never be on a supplement you can't justify.

Frequently asked questions about services

Do I need every service listed?

No. Most patients use a combination of functional lab testing, clinical nutrition, supplementation, and lifestyle care. Acupuncture and herbal medicine are added when they're clinically appropriate.

Can I do everything virtually?

Yes except acupuncture. Virtual visits include the same in-depth history, lab interpretation, and protocol building as in-person visits.

Are services covered by insurance?

Naturopathic visits are typically covered by extended health benefits plans (not OHIP). Lab testing and supplements are usually paid out of pocket. I'll always tell you the cost before ordering anything.
